In a world made unrecognizable by a devastating nuclear war, murder remains a horrific crime. Sylvester Dramain, a survivor born before the Big Bang, must traverse a bleak and unforgiving landscape to reach Northpoint. There, with the assistance of a special constable, he must uncover the facts behind the sudden death of The Local, Samuel Brown. In doing so, he encounters all the harsh truths of a civilization changed forever by the madness of an all-encompassing global conflict.

This novel was originally published in 1987 as The Perfect Circus. This version has been re-written and edited to reflect the world we live in today.

The Perfect Circus

The Perfect Circus is on Earth after a final nuclear war. The survivors, at least in the province described in the book, live underground and are wracked with diseases and mutations. The common salutation is 'better red then dead'...A recommended read (Oshawa Times, January, 1988).
